We knew from the start of the project that it would be absolutely necessary to expand the team with experts within several areas. After warm recommendations; Upstream chose Morefish as an independent partner in the project.
The reason why we chose Morefish is there broad competency in all areas of land based farming projects, and their experience from their involvement in relevant projects in Norway and abroad. Morefish supports Upstream - Aqua now with the Aquaculture Consession application, link to Akvaplan Niva that they have chosen as a partner, and the planning process a a whole. They also have very good knowledge related to fish health, water quality and handling of the process water.

Our focus in Morefish is to put fish welfare in the center of the project – and define the process around this. By controlling the fish welfare, you will also control the productivity of the farm.
And control is a matter of insight. The new and emerging technology like new sensoric techniques, machine vision and artificial intelligence will bring the landbased fishfarming fast forward.
Upstream´ s business idea; their green focus throughout the project with a significant reuse of ressources and new ideas of fish welfare is a very interesting case also for us in Morefish. We are excited to join the team and to contribute to a successful establishment.
